Carrot Halwa Recipe (dessert)
Ingredients-
Grated carrot - 1kg
Full fat cream - 350ml
Cardamom - 4/5
Rose water -1tbsp
Clarified butter -3tbsp
Brown sugar -1cup
Dry fruit (optional)
Instructions:
- Add the grated carrot in a pressure cooker and cook it until one whistle.
- After pressure cooking it add cream, cardamom and rose water.
- Cook in low flame until all the liquid dries up. The carrot will also turns very soft.
- Add clarified butter, sugar and cook until the extra liquid dries up again.
- Add any dry fruit of your choice and serve hot or cold as per the taste. Enjoy!
Tip- keep steering in between to prevent burning when cooking with cream and sugar.
