  • 200 g Pasta (spaghetti)
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley (chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • Black Pepper to taste

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Cook pasta according to package directions in a large pot, then drain, reserving some pasta water.
  2. While pasta cooks, thinly slice the garlic cloves using a knife and cutting board.
  3. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat, add sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, and cook until fragrant (about 2-3 minutes).
  4. Add the drained pasta to the pan with the garlic mixture, along with a splash of the reserved pasta water.
  5. Toss everything together using tongs, season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For an extra layer of flavor, try toasting some breadcrumbs in a separate pan with a little olive oil until golden brown, then sprinkle over the finished pasta.
