  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 cup dry white wine or chicken broth

  • 0.25 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.5 tsp Red pepper flakes optional
Seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Large skillet

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook pasta according to package directions; reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. While pasta cooks, pat shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, then add garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  2. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
  3. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside, then add white wine or broth to the skillet and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits.
  4. Stir in lemon juice and reserved pasta water, then return shrimp and pasta to the skillet.
  5. Toss everything together to combine, then stir in fresh parsley and season with additional salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

Serve immediately with crusty bread for soaking up the delicious sauce. For a richer flavor, use fresh shrimp instead of frozen. You can also add a splash of cream for a creamier sauce.
