Baking Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and vanilla extract. Then, combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Gently fold in the almonds. Divide the dough in half and shape each half into a log about 10-12 inches long and 2 inches wide on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and firm. Remove from oven and reduce temperature to 325°F (160°C). Allow the logs to cool for 10-15 minutes, then slice them into 1/2-inch thick pieces. Lay these pieces on their sides on the baking sheet and bake again for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until dry and crisp.
Notes
The title seems to be a play on words; biscotti are baked goods, not something you "grow." This recipe provides instructions for baking delicious Italian almond biscotti. Enjoy with coffee or tea!
