Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt; set aside.
Mixing
  1. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  4. Stir in the old-fashioned rolled oats and your choice of raisins or chocolate chips.
Baking

Notes
