  • 1 Packet of Dry Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 10.5-ounce Can Cream of Mushroom Soup

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and place the beef chuck roast in a large roasting pan or Dutch oven.
  2. Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix evenly over the roast, ensuring it's coated, then spread the cream of mushroom soup over the top of the roast.
  3. Cover the roasting pan tightly with a lid or aluminum foil and cook for about 3 hours, or until the roast is fork-tender.
  4. Remove the pot roast from the oven, allow it to rest for a few minutes, then shred or slice the beef before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can brown the roast in a little olive oil before adding the soup mixes. This recipe is also excellent in a slow cooker; cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
