Preparation
- Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with cold water by one inch. Bring the water to a rolling boil over high heat, then immediately remove from heat and cover the pan.
- Let the eggs sit in the hot water for 12-15 minutes, then transfer them to an ice bath for at least 5 minutes to cool completely.
- Once cooled, gently peel the eggs under cold running water. Slice each egg in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks into a small bowl.
- Mash the egg yolks with a fork until smooth, then stir in the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, and pepper until well combined and creamy.
- Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves. Garnish with a sprinkle of paprika before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of garlic powder or a dash of hot sauce to the yolk mixture. Ensure the eggs are completely cooled before peeling to prevent cracking.
