  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg large

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking pan. In a large bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
Mixing and Baking
  1. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the milk and egg. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined; be careful not to overmix. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
Serving

Notes
