Main Ingredients
  • 12 ounces linguine
  • 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
Seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Large skillet

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook linguine according to package directions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
Cooking
  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat, then add bell peppers and cook for 5-7 minutes until softened.
  2. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant; add shrimp and Cajun seasoning, cooking for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, bringing the mixture to a simmer; reduce heat and stir in Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens.
  4. Add cooked linguine to the skillet and toss to coat, serving immediately with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.

Notes

Adjust Cajun seasoning to your spice preference; for an even richer flavor, use seafood broth instead of chicken broth.
