  • 14 ounces caramels
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash and dry the apples thoroughly, then remove the stems and insert a wooden stick into the center of each apple.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Caramel Making
  1. Unwrap the caramels and place them in a microwave-safe bowl with the milk.
  2. Microwave on high for 1 minute, then stir until smooth, repeating in 30-second intervals if needed.
Assembly
  1. Dip each apple into the melted caramel, turning to coat evenly, and allow excess caramel to drip off.
  2. Optionally, roll the caramel-coated apples in chopped nuts or sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  3. Place the finished caramel apples on the prepared baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.

Notes

For best results, ensure apples are very dry before dipping in caramel. You can also add a pinch of salt to the caramel for a salted caramel flavor.
