- Dice the heirloom tomatoes and place them in a bowl. Add chopped fresh basil, a drizzle of olive oil, salt, and pepper, then gently toss to combine and set aside.
- Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick rounds. Brush each side lightly with olive oil and toast the bread in a hot pan, oven, or toaster until golden and crispy.
- Once toasted, immediately rub one side of each bread slice with a cut garlic clove to infuse flavor.
- Spoon the tomato mixture generously over each garlic-rubbed toast. Drizzle with balsamic glaze just before serving.
Notes
For the best flavor, use ripe, in-season heirloom tomatoes.
