Preparation

- Cut the cold butter into the dry ingredients using a pastry blender or your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add milk, mixing until a soft dough forms; avoid overmixing.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface, gently pat it to about 1/2-inch thickness, and cut out biscuits using a round cutter.

Notes
