Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 200 grams Fettuccine pasta
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper, freshly ground

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Colander
  • Large skillet
  • Whisk or tongs

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook the fettuccine according to package directions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
Combine and Serve
  1. Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet with the cream mixture, tossing to coat.
  2. Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until a smooth sauce forms.
  3. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste and serve immediately.

Notes

For a richer sauce, use full-fat cream and freshly grated Parmesan. A splash of pasta water can help loosen the sauce if it becomes too thick.
