Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Carefully slice each jalapeño in half lengthwise and use a spoon to remove the seeds and membranes.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Once mixed, gently fold in the crumbled bacon, ensuring it is evenly distributed.
  5. Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, filling it generously.
  6. Arrange the filled jalapeño halves on the prepared baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the jalapeños are tender and the cheese filling is golden brown and bubbly.
  2. Carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the poppers cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra spice, leave a few seeds in the jalapeños. If you prefer a milder flavor, soak the jalapeño halves in ice water for 15 minutes after seeding them. These poppers can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before baking.
