  • ½ teaspoon salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Mixing
  1. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Baking
  1. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  2. Bake for 9-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still slightly soft.
  3. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

To "grow" these cookies, simply follow the recipe steps! For best results, ensure your butter is softened but not melted. You can also chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking for a chewier cookie. Enjoy your freshly "grown" treats!
