Preparation
- In a bowl, combine thinly sliced beef, soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil; marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and cornstarch for the stir-fry sauce.
Cooking
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
- Add marinated beef and stir-fry until browned and cooked through; remove beef from the skillet and set aside.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet, stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add broccoli florets, sliced bell peppers, and julienned carrots to the skillet, stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet, bring to a simmer, and cook until thickened.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce and vegetables.
- Serve immediately with rice or noodles.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the stir-fry. Adjust the vegetables based on your preference and what's in season.
