Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated, but avoid overmixing.
Forming Patties
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and gently form each portion into a burger patty, about 1 inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from bulging during cooking.
Cooking
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the turkey patties into the pan.
- Cook the patties for 6-8 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through with an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Serving
- Remove the cooked patties from the pan and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve on burger buns with your favorite toppings and condiments.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding finely chopped fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro to the turkey mixture. You can also experiment with different spices to customize the taste to your preference.
