Cooking Steps
- Melt butter or heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat, then add rice and stir for 2-3 minutes until lightly toasted.
- Pour in broth, add salt and pepper, and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover the saucepan, and simmer for 15 minutes without lifting the lid.
- Remove from heat and let it rest, covered, for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can sauté finely diced onions or garlic with the rice before adding the broth. Adjust seasoning to your preference.
