Preparation
- Rinse the wild rice thoroughly under cold water, then finely chop half an onion.

Cooking
- Add the rinsed wild rice to the saucepan and stir for a minute, then pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 25-30 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
