Peach Puree
- Combine sliced peaches, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/4 cup water in a saucepan over medium heat, then cook until peaches soften for about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before blending the mixture until smooth.
- Strain the peach puree through a fine-mesh sieve, pressing on solids to extract as much liquid as possible, then discard solids.
Simple Syrup (Hack 1)
- In a separate saucepan, combine 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water, bringing it to a simmer until the sugar dissolves completely; then let it cool.
Assemble the Lemonade
- In a large pitcher, combine the strained peach puree, fresh lemon juice, 1 cup of the simple syrup, and 4 cups of cold water.
- Stir well to ensure all ingredients are thoroughly mixed and the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Taste the lemonade and adjust sweetness if desired by adding more simple syrup or lemon juice for extra tang (Hack 2).
Serving Suggestions (Hack 3)
- Fill glasses with ice, pour in the peach lemonade, and garnish with fresh peach slices or lemon wedges for an appealing presentation.
- For an adult twist, add a splash of vodka or white rum to individual servings.
Notes
For an extra peachy flavor, use ripe, juicy peaches. You can also freeze some of the peach puree in ice cube trays to add to your lemonade for a less diluted, more flavorful drink. This recipe can be easily scaled up or down depending on your needs. Enjoy your delicious homemade peach lemonade!
