  • 12 oz canned tuna drained
  • 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup condensed
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 0.5 cup bread crumbs

  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to package directions, then drain them well and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, drained tuna, cream of mushroom soup, milk, frozen peas, 3/4 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper.
Baking
  1. Pour the noodle mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and bread crumbs, then sprinkle this mixture evenly over the casserole.
  3. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the bread crumb topping.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven and let it stand for 5-10 minutes before serving to allow it to set.

Notes

For an extra boost of flavor, consider adding a dash of hot sauce or a pinch of red pepper flakes to the noodle mixture. You can also customize the vegetables by adding corn or diced carrots.
