Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and pat the turkey tenderloins dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika to create your seasoning blend.
Cook Turkey
- Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Season the turkey tenderloins evenly with the spice mixture, then sear them in the hot skillet for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 15-20 minutes, or until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the tenderloin reads 165°F (74°C). Remove the skillet from the oven.
Rest and Serve
- Tent the turkey tenderloins loosely with foil and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This resting period allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring a more tender and flavorful turkey.
- Slice the turkey into medallions and serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the turkey tenderloins for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator before cooking. You can also add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice or a sprinkle of fresh herbs like parsley or thyme after cooking for a burst of freshness.
