Ingredients

Planting Materials
  • 3 packs Broccoli seeds
  • 10 cups Fertilized soil
  • 5 cups Beef compost

Equipment

  • Pots (3)

Method

Planting
  1. Prepare three pots with fertilized soil, ensuring proper drainage. Plant one pack of broccoli seeds in each pot, spacing them evenly.
  2. Cover the seeds lightly with soil and water thoroughly. Place the pots in a sunny location, maintaining a temperature of at least 60°F (15°C).
Nourishment
  1. Once seedlings emerge, usually within a week, begin adding beef compost. Sprinkle about 1/2 cup around the base of each plant, avoiding direct contact with the stem.
  2. Water regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Reapply beef compost every two weeks to provide continuous nutrients.
Harvest
  1. Broccoli plants are typically ready for harvest in 60-90 days when the central head is firm and compact. Cut the head with a sharp knife, leaving side shoots to produce smaller florets.
  2. Continue to water and fertilize for a prolonged harvest from the side shoots.

Notes

Ensure good air circulation to prevent fungal diseases. Rotate your plants periodically for even sun exposure. For best results, use organic beef compost.
