Preparation
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (375-450°F or 190-230°C). Prepare the corn by peeling back the husks but keeping them attached at the base, then remove all the silk. Fold the husks back over the corn.
Grilling
- Place the corn directly on the grill grates. Grill for 15-20 minutes, turning every 5 minutes to ensure even cooking, until the kernels are tender and slightly charred. Alternatively, if soaking, soak the husked corn in cold water for 15 minutes before grilling.
- Once cooked, remove the corn from the grill. Carefully pull back the husks (they might be hot) and discard them. Brush the corn with melted butter and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
Serving
- Serve the grilled corn on the cob immediately as a delicious side dish.
Notes
For extra flavor, try seasoning the corn with a squeeze of lime juice and a sprinkle of chili powder after grilling. You can also experiment with flavored butters, such as garlic herb butter, for a gourmet touch.
