Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and gather all your ingredients to ensure a smooth baking process.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, and eggs until well combined and smooth.
- In a separate small bowl, mix the sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt, then gradually add these dry ingredients to the wet pumpkin mixture, stirring until fully incorporated.
- Pour the pumpkin mixture into the unbaked pie crust, making sure to distribute it evenly.
Baking
- Bake the pie for 15 minutes at 425°F (220°C), then reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for an additional 35-40 minutes, or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, remove the pie from the oven and let it cool completely on a wire rack for at least 2 hours to allow it to set properly before slicing and serving.
Notes
For an extra touch, serve with a dollop of whipped cream or a sprinkle of nutmeg. If the crust starts to brown too quickly, you can cover the edges with aluminum foil.
