Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness (about ½ inch) between two pieces of plastic wrap.
  3. Prepare three shallow dishes: one with flour, salt, and pepper; one with beaten eggs; and one with breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then egg, then the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring thorough coating.
Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Sear chicken for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown, then transfer to the preheated baking dish.
  3. Spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast, then top with mozzarella and a sprinkle of Parmesan.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serving
  1. Garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately with your preferred side dish, such as pasta or a salad.
