Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Marinade (Recipe 1 & 2)
  • 1.5 lbs chicken breast
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
For the Tzatziki Sauce
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 0.5 cucumber grated and squeezed dry
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 0.25 tsp salt
For Serving
  • 4 pieces pita bread
  • 1 tomatoes sliced
  • 0.5 red onion thinly sliced
  • lettuce shredded
Optional for Recipe 3 (Spicy Gyros)
  • 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 tsp paprika

Method
 

Chicken Gyro Preparation (Recipes 1 & 2)
  1. Slice chicken breast into thin strips.
  2. Combine olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Add chicken to the marinade and mix well; refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Cook marinated chicken in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
Tzatziki Sauce
  1. Grate the cucumber and squeeze out excess water.
  2. In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, chopped fresh dill, lemon juice, and salt.
  3. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Assembly (All Recipes)
  1. Warm the pita bread according to package instructions.
  2. Spread tzatziki sauce on each warm pita.
  3. Fill with cooked chicken, sliced tomatoes, thinly sliced red onion, and shredded lettuce.
