Preparation
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, cornstarch, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil to create the sauce.
Cooking
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add sliced beef and cook until browned, then remove from the skillet.
- Add broccoli florets to the same skillet and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the prepared sauce. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.
- Serve immediately with rice, if desired.
Notes
For extra tenderness, marinate the beef in a tablespoon of soy sauce and a teaspoon of cornstarch for 15 minutes before cooking.
